Why my Adsense account is not approved 2023 (step by step guide)

Why my Adsense account is not approved

Before giving my opinion, let’s see what Google says about this:

“Your site was found to have too little text, and your site was deemed to be “under construction.” Sites should have sufficient high-quality Content to provide meaningful user experiences and allow us to serve relevant ads to users.”

According to Google, your site should have some quality content, and the website should be user-friendly.

So, this is the only issue for AdSense rejection; the answer is Big no.

According to me, there are still many things that cause adsense rejection.

 Let’s see all those issues:

Insufficient Content

means your site or blog needs more or has copied/AI content. To fix this issue, write quality(unique) content, post at least 15 blogs, and use copyrighted images.

Violation of AdSense Policies:

Your Content or site violates AdSense policies, like using adult content to attract people, copyrighted Content and promoting illegal things. To fix this issue, be genuine and use friendly Content.

Low-Quality Website Design:

your website is not user-friendly, has a broken website, and doesn’t open in some regions or browsers. To fix this issue, check your site to ensure every function works smoothly and opens from everywhere.

No Traffic:

there is no minimum traffic requirement for AdSense approval, but it is always better to apply with some traffic; it decreases the chances of rejection.

Prohibited Content:

never use illegal topics like hacking, gambling, pirated downloading, etc.

Previous Violations:

check before applying for approval that old violated policies are resolved; if not, wait to use them until you solve the issue.

No essential pages on the website:

if you don’t have these 4 pages, don’t apply. The pages are :

  1. About us: briefly describe your company or site details on this page.
  2. Contact Us: if you don’t have a Contact Us page, then this is not only a wrong signal for AdSense approval but also a website and online presence. Maintaining a proper Contact Us page is essential so people can contact you if they need to.
  3. Privacy policies: On this page, the information tells your user that you collect some data, i.e., Information Collection, Data Sources, Purpose of Data Collection, Data Usage, Data Sharing, Cookies and Tracking, User Rights, Data Security, Data Retention, Third-Party Links, Compliance with Laws, Contact Information and Policy Updates.
  4. Terms and conditions: (T&C), or terms of service or use, are legal agreements between a website and its users. The common elements included in terms and conditions are Acceptance of Terms, User Responsibilities, Intellectual Property, Content Usage, Privacy Policy, Termination, Dispute Resolution, Liability and Disclaimers, Changes to Terms, Governing Law, Contact Information and User Age Restrictions.

Domain age:

Domain Age

It matters that if your domain is fresh or new, then you may get a rejection from AdSense.

So, how much domain age is needed for AdSense approval? In my experience, it is better to apply at least after 2 months, but it is my personal experience. In many cases, the 1-month age domain got approved.

No AdSense verification code on the website: if you don’t add the code provided by Adsense, then you get rejected because when Google bots try to come for verification, they can’t because the missing code is the root of your site.

You need to paste that code in the header after <head> tag, or you can use the plugin Header Footer Code Manager.

Unsupported language:

Adsense provides a big list of languages that support it.

  • All Adsense-supported languages are:
  •  Arabic
  • Bengali
  • Bulgarian
  • Catalan
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Croatian
  • Czech
  • Danish

Is it hard to get AdSense approval?

The direct answer to this is no. According to Google, 80.2 per cent of Google’s revenue comes from advertising on Google properties and YouTube. So Google AdSense really wants to give you approval because its main income source is advertising; imagine if there is no creator, then where will Google show ads?

But AdSense relies on genuine creators for trust, credibility, user experience, ad relevance, advertiser confidence, policy compliance, long-term partnerships, user engagement, and enhanced brand image. Genuine creators create high-quality Content, attract advertisers, and maintain a loyal user base, resulting in higher click-through rates and better ad performance.

How long does it take AdSense to approve?

As per Google, not more than 4 weeks, but in my experience, they send emails within 1 week whether you are approved or rejected.

Do you need to fix some issues before your site is ready for AdSense?

This was the main heading when Adsense got rejected. Below this heading, they provide some points as to why they rejected

The three most 3 common issue for rejection is:

  1. low-value Content
  2. unsupported language
  3. Content policy violations.

All these issues are already explained in the above topics

Final words

Getting AdSense approval requires careful attention and following Google’s policies and guidelines. Keep in mind that Google always values genuine content creator and try to support them in their online journey.

Remember that traffic is not very important, but more traffic can increase the chance of approval, and don’t forget to add that code; this small, unnoticeable thing becomes the rejection issue.

And keep the patient for at least for 4 weeks. You may get the email before it; until then, keep learning and keep sharing the knowledge.
